Hi all,
I know it’s been a minute since I posted here, and from the looks of when I last posted, much has happened in the world of Jorts. For starters, BHR7 has just completed our follow up to 2009’s White Lies For Dark Times. We couldn’t be more excited and I think (or at least hope) all of you will be too. It’s new growth for R7 and the record features lots of super surprises and amazing guest performances by a couple of real legends to say the least. As of now, the record is titled, Give Till It’s Gone and it will be out some time in the early fall. Stay posted. I promise I’ll give more frequent updates here. We’ve already made one trek across the country this Spring and we have a really busy Summer shaping up that will be taking us back to Europe, Morroco, Australia, and beyond! We’ll be back in the states for a full tour this fall as the record draws nearer its release. Check here for all our dates.

Hi all…Tonight finds me making the ever treacherous journey into Hollywood to see Beatle drummer, rock legend and personal band-mate (tee hee), Ringo Starr, honored as he gets a star on Hollywood’s walk of fame at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd and Vine. Additional bandmate, Ben Harper, will be speaking along with Don Was and Joe Walsh, who will bestow the honor upon Ringo. The honor includes a large star with one’s name on it that millions get to walk on and admire, and a buffett!!! Read about it and watch it live on Ringo’s site.

I had the tremendous opportunity to be on The Late Show w/ David Letterman for the second time Tuesday evening. And if that wasn’t cool enough, the CBS Orchestra led by Paul Shaffer played with us.

This is my favorite television appearance Ive been a part of and one of my favorite performances of my band Relentless7. Hope you guys enjoy too.

The Pro Bowl is the All-Star game for Football. The Grammys are not the All-Star game for music. More like an appreciation luncheon.

Relentless7 will be on a brand new Late Night w/ David Letterman on CBS this Tuesday February 2 playing “Lay There and Hate Me”

Also coming soon is a wicked video for the same song. It is directed by James Frost. He made the video for Coldplay’s “Yellow”, which is way better than the song itself and also made this clip for Radiohead a while back:

EPIC RUINS Mixing Session w/ Steve Steward, Jordan Richardson and Danny Kalb

Thursday evening finds me, fellow epic ruin-er Steve Steward, and wizard foreman Danny Kalb in North Hollywood at Kalb’s “Cowl” Studio.

As you can see from the pictures above, things are as creepy and unsettling as ever.

This eve brings us the final eve of mixing EPIC RUIN’s “The Void Mariner and the Mystic Boogie of the Sacred Line.”
